Education

Jaime Zipsir attended Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia and graduated earning her Bachelor of Sciences in Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies in 2003. Prior to her graduate studies, she completed a Bachelor of Science at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1998.

Experience

Mrs. Zipsir has been practicing medicine as a PA in Urology for over 8 years. She has been a member of the Alaska Urology team since 2006. In 2010, she was shortly employed at a Voiding Dysfunction/Continence Clinic at Fletcher Allen Health Care System in Burlington, Vermont. There she was trained in pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation for various voiding problems.

Mrs. Zipsir continues to maintain active membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Alaska Association of Physician Assistants and Urological Association of Physician Assistants. One of her great joys is mentoring and being a preceptor for PA students as well as lecturing at various conferences and events.

Personal

You may recognize Mrs. Zipsir previously as Jaime Stevenson. Mrs. Zipsir enjoys spending time with her husband and her two wonderful children. She moved here in August 2003 from Virginia. She enjoys all outdoor winter and summer sports Alaska offers. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, running, skiing, pilates, golfing and camping.
